Photographies de A features Augustine, a patient of Dr. Charcot, famous for her hysterical attacks. An object of fascination, she was exhibited at the Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris in 1880, with a camera pointed at her, ready to be triggered at the slightest blink of an eye. The play was written by Daniel Keene after Invention of hysteria: Charcot and the iconography of the Salpêtrière by philosopher and historian Georges Didi-Huberman.
